Colin L Potter
BSc DipArch ARIAS RIBA
The founder and director of Architeco, Colin is passionate about the environment.
He is an ARB registered Architect, and a Chartered Architect with membership of the RIAS & RIBA.
One of the first Architects in the UK to become a Certified Passive House Designer, Colin has gained RIAS Accreditation in Sustainable Architecture, and is a member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association and the Passivhaus Trust.
Formerly an Associate at Robert Potter & Partners Architects, Colin has over 30 years experience working in architecture with extensive experience of Residential, Healthcare, Leisure and Conservation projects, including New Build, Conversions and Extensions.
He has been Project Leader for a Community Trust Sustainable Village initiative, given several presentations on low energy design and Passivhaus, and is the designer of Europe’s smallest inhabited Passive House.
Elisabetta Fragala
BSc Dip/MArch, ARB
Elisabetta gained her master’s in architecture and Urbanism at “La Sapienza” University of Rome in Italy, developing her thesis in collaboration with the University Paris Val de Seine in France.
She is a Certified Passive House Designer with over 5 years hands-on experience of Residential projects and Renovation of existing buildings, in UK, Italy and Paris.
She is interested in sustainable design with a low impact approach that respects the local environment.
Emma Poulton
BSc PgDip, ARB
Emma is a registered Architect with over 7 years of experience in Scotland, specialising in the re-development and retrofit of existing residential dwellings.
Her passion lies in discovering sustainable and aesthetic design solutions, with a keen interest in conservation and historic buildings. Emma has also completed her Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management, and is able to lead on retrofit projects of varying scale
Chris Johnstone
BSc DipArch, ARB, OCDEA
Chris is a registered Architect and has worked with Architeco since 2015.
He graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2010 with a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Architectural Design, after gaining practical experience at practices in both Glasgow and Abu Dhabi.
With a keen interest in energy efficiency, Chris is our building energy analyst, ensuring the optimum energy performance of our designs.
Chris is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, allowing us to provide as built SAP calculations and generate Energy Performance Certificates for new build houses.
Duncan Henderson
BSc MArch, ARB, RIAS/RIBA
Duncan is an ARB registered Architect with membership of the RIAS and RIBA.
He obtained his Master of Architecture qualification from the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen in 2015. Attracted by the company’s ethos and unique approach to sustainability, he joined Architeco in 2016 with interest in developing low impact solutions working towards self sustaining environments.
With further focused studies he obtained a Certificate in Permaculture Design and completed a modern apprenticeship in Site Supervision.
We use Archicad for all our project work and Duncan is our in-house Building Information Modelling (BIM) manager.
Marcelo Badilla
Ba Arch MArch
Marcelo graduated from Valparaiso University, Chile and the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has a Master’s Degree in Urban Renewal and Rehabilitation from Santiago de Compostela University and studied Building Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Specialist at A Coruña University.
Marcelo is a member of the Galician Association of Architects and has worked in residential, renewal and public space projects in Chile and Spain prior to relocating to the UK. He has a passion for projects that involve sustainable living & those that respect the local culture and surrounding landscape.
Toby Farwell
BSc PgDip
Toby graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2023, obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Architectural Design with distinction. Toby began working at Architeco between his years of study at university back in 2018. Drawn to the practices dedication to discovering sustainable and bespoke design solutions, Toby now works towards attaining his ARB/RIBA Part 3 qualification.
Shubham Kirve
BArch(Hons)
Shubham joined Architeco in 2022 as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant following the completion of a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours from the Glasgow School of Art, and is currently studying towards his Part 2.
University has helped him embrace self-directed learning in architecture, expressing ideas by understanding historical and contextual influences for enriching design projects.
Shubham is interested in sustainability and hopes to consistently learn about and incorporate new technologies & techniques for eco-conscious solutions.
Nicole Kilchoer
Administrator
Nicole is our company administrator and typically the first point of contact when you call or email Architeco, liaising with all clients and the design team.
Dealing with finances, client queries, and ensuring planning and warrant applications progress as smoothly as possible through the local authority processes, our clients end up on familiar terms with our friendly administrator who is always happy to help.
