Architeco - Administrator – Job Description

Architeco are a small architectural practice specialising in sustainable design. We are looking for a new Administrator to keep our office running smoothly.

We're looking for an exceptional member of staff who is skilled, self-motivated and keen to learn. We need someone who can perform a wide variety of tasks diligently and with initiative and enthusiasm, as well as assess the business’ current needs and plan for future growth.

We can offer flexible working hours and arrangements and a supportive working environment, with opportunities to develop and progress.

Salary: Negotiable, (we always pay at least the living wage).

Job description

Reporting directly to the practise owner, you will need to be versatile and willing to learn. We need someone with exemplary customer service skills, who can turn their hand to different tasks as and when required in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.

Your tasks will vary, but are likely to include:

 ·      Running office administration system, tracking projects

·      Responding to queries and liasing with the general public, clients, colleagues and others.

·      Submitting Planning Applications and Building Warrants, writing letters

·      Telephone calls, reception, organising diaries

·      Invoicing

·      Stocktaking and ordering, petty cash

·      Payroll, timesheets, and finance administration

Skills and Qualities Required

Essential

Exceptional customer service

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including an eye for detail and presentation.

Ability to analyse, organise and instigate systems to help the practise run as efficiently as possible.

Self sufficient and flexible.

Full computer literacy essential. Proficiency in using PCs essential and Macs advantageous, and basic office skills including fluency with word processing programs and email is essential.

Desirable

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office highly desirableExperience of payroll administration

5 weeks holiday per annum, pro rata

1 weeks paid training (training opportunities)

Flexible working hours.

Initial contract will be for six months, with the potential for a permanent position thereafter.
